HOW DOES IT WORK?
The CryoPen device is held close to the skin lesion for 15-30 seconds, depending on size and depth of lesion. The device delivers pressured liquid nitrous dioxide at extremely low temperatures to destroy the tissue and permanently remove the skin lesion.
HOW LONG DO THE RESULTS LAST?
For most lesions, cryotherapy is a permanent removal.
WHO IS IT NOT SUITABLE FOR?
It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
It is not suitable for those with ongoing/uncontrolled cardiac issues. It is not suitable for those with Rhynoids.
It is not suitable for those with sunburnt skin.
Those with autoimmune will be carefully considered.
Those with lesions which appear unhealthy will be advised to see their GP.
A full medical history and assessment will be carried out for every client to ensure suitability for treatment.
ARE THERE ANY CONTRA-INDICATIONS?
Avoid injectable treatments for 3 weeks post treatment.
Avoid chemical peels for 3 weeks prior to treatment & until healed post treatment.
IS IT SORE?
Generally, patients feel little or no discomfort during treatment. There may be a slight residual stinging for a few minutes after treatment.
